More Information
The Oakland Opera Theater production of Four Saints in Three Acts, by Gertrude Stein and Virgil Thomson will fuse characters and themes from Stein's libretto with English and Spanish mystery plays, a through-composed score; dance; and modern technology. The work will be set in multiple time periods and locations simultaneously & with music being the connective element. Video, designed by Ethan Hoerneman, will play a prominent role in the work with some footage coming from archival sources and some being shot with the actors and singers involved in the production. |
